Managed fund

A managed fund is a professionally managed investment portfolio. It is made up by a pool of investors' money. Each fund has a range of investment options to suit each investor's investment attitude and needs. Investors are given a certain number of units when they invest in a managed fund. This is different compared to direct investments. In direct investments, the investor will purchase the investment in whole. Therefore, managed funds provide an advantage to investors by allowing them to access investments that are costly when purchased in whole. Units in a managed fund fluctuate on a daily basis.
